Shaun Spielman, MD is a sports medicine provider with Dayton Children's Hospital. Dr. Spielman attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania where he ran cross country and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following college he received his medical degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. He also completed his residency in family medicine and fellowship in primary care sports medicine at West Virginia University. He has a special interest in sports medicine, medical education (especially musculoskeletal medicine), healthcare systems and policy and infectious diseases. When he's not with patients, he enjoys cooking, racquetball, college football and salsa dancing.

    Dr. Spielman was fantastic. He was kind, he was courteous, he has a good sense of humor, excellent bedside manners. He was very forthcoming in information that he had for us and he was very interested and listened and heard us out.

    The provider did not seem like he reviewed my daughter’s history prior to entering the room. He did not seem like he was listening when we explained previous injuries

    This doctor was kind and attentive and he spoke not just to me as the mom, but my daughter as well. So she felt really comfortable and we had a great experience with the whole team at Sports Medicine.
