Sarah Rose Steward, MD

Dr. Steward is an excellent doctor and surgeon. She always takes time to listen to my concerns and my son's concerns. She always considers and recommends the best courses of action for us.

We saw Dr Steward in the hospital while we were inpatient and in her clinic. Both places she was an excellent Dr. to my child and kept me informed along the way. I would recommend her to family and friend 100%. I'm super happy Children's has a great orthopedic doctor like Dr. Steward.

When I would try to explain stuff to her, she pretty much put me down as a parent of why I’m still allowing my child to do this, but only reason why I’m letting my child do the things that she wants to do in her foot still hurt is because the doctors cannot find anything wrong with her. She was not very sympathetic or very heart, failing towards my daughter and her pain and her being upset because again they have nothing but saying there’s nothing wrong. I feel like she needs to be on a little bit better bedside manners.

Honestly, I was blown away by Dr. Stewart?s kindness and overall demeanor of knowledge meets humility. I should not be blown away (all doctors should have her bedside manner), but I told multiple people about her after that appointment. With kids, you either feel like you went to an appointment at the hospital unnecessarily, or you waited too long to address something serious. I was somewhere in between, but that did not stop her from being thorough and gentle in tone. She never belittled me or made me feel beneath her as a parent. She performed a long physical exam to test my son's mobility, even though he was feeling pretty good and was mostly healed up anyway. She then went over portions of his x-ray that honestly didn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but she did it to assure me that nothing serious is going on. It was the most thorough and kind of "will a little Advil will fix this?" appointment I've ever been to. If any of my five kids have ortho issues in the future, I will 100% be requesting her.

This appointment was a waste of our time and I was referred back to a pediatrician when I believe orders could have been made with this doctor.

Dr. Steward was very nice and professional. My child trusts her and likes her. We wouldn't want any other orthopedic doctor.

Everyone was friendly and sympathetic. Dr steward and nurse explained things to kill myself and my son in a way he could understand. I really appreciate them taking the time to listen. I have already recommended Dr to another family.

The entire staff was attentive to my child’s need. They took time with us and planned the best course of action that would yield the best possible outcome for my child

We feel like this provider did not do anything for my daughter. She told us to look on Amazon for devices or anything that we could try even after we had explained we had tried looking for other alternatives. I explained we didn’t want to do something or google something that would cause harm or make things worse. I was looking for a professional medical advice. I felt like we were inconvenienced her for paying to see her yesterday. I took the day off to seek help and my daughter really didn’t get any. Also, this dr was rude in that she made no attempt to apologize for running so late or being conscious of our time. Definitely did not look like she was there to help kids or concerned with the pain my daughter was in. She made recommendations like buy different shoes and we have been through that already. She told us to come back and see someone else in 6 months. Nothing was resolved. We will look for a good physician.

She did not listen to me regarding my concerns. She lied on the x-ray request. She did not put accurate and truthful information in the summary that we stated during the visit.

Knowledgeable and pleasant, courteous from registration to end of visit.

Dr. Steward has been amazing with our son!! She has been patient with answering any questions and has explained everything to our satisfaction.

The nurse was super friendly and great with my child. The doctor was kind as well. My complaint is how long we waited in between being checked in by the nurse and seeing the doctor, we waited approximately 45 minutes. Parents plan appointments around napping and feeding schedules especially with young children. Getting them ready, drive time, then waiting that long is difficult. Having to wait that long leaves them irritable and exhausted for their actual exam with the doctor.

Life happens, especially when you’re a single mom. So I don’t like being ridiculed or asked about missed appointments.

Dr. Steward is knowledgeable, but could also work on bedside manner a little. She’s nice but very dry and not super understanding of an athlete and wants him to be very limited when the other Dr we saw said otherwise

She made us feel uncomfortable and made me feel like we was not wanted in the place
