Sarah Gann, PsyD

Sarah Gann is a pediatric psychologist at Dayton Children's. She helps children and teens understand how the brain and body work together. She supports patients with chronic pain, disorders of gut-brain interaction and behavioral management for constipation. Dr. Gann teaches practical skills, like cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and relaxation, to help kids manage pain, ease symptoms and feel more in control of their bodies. She also works with the gastroenterology team to help children who have difficulty going to the bathroom, including those who have accidents and fear using the bathroom.

Dr. Gann partners closely with families to build a “toolbox” of strategies that support each child’s daily life. She believes small steps can lead to big progress and encourages kids not to give up when a skill takes time to work. Dr. Gann chose pediatrics to help children build lifelong coping skills during key stages of growth and development. She finds joy in helping kids get back to what matters most: playing, learning and feeling like themselves again. Outside of work, Dr. Gann enjoys baking, crocheting and reading.
