About Michelle Potts

Professional Statement

Dr. Michelle Potts is the chief of the physical medicine and rehabilitation division at Dayton Children's. She helps children build strength, confidence and independence so they can take part in everyday life. She works with children who have physical disabilities, including cerebral palsy, and supports kids recovering from concussion or traumatic brain injury (TBI) as they return to school, sports and the activities they love. Dr. Potts focuses on what each child can do and helps families understand each step of the care plan in a clear, supportive way.

Dr. Potts believes care is a journey shared with families. She reminds parents that progress often comes in small steps—and each one matters. Her goal is for families to feel safe, supported and confident asking questions. She partners closely with caregivers, celebrating wins along the way and helping children reach their fullest potential.
