Professional Statement

Dr. Luby Abdurrahman is the division chief of cardiology and head of fetal cardiology at Dayton Children's Hospital. She attended medical school at Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria. She then completed her pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is fellowship-trained and board-certified in pediatric Cardiology. She completed her pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard medical school in Boston Massachusetts. She has a special interest in fetal echocardiography and complex congenital heart disease. One of her favorite things about working with children is - "working with children and getting to share in their joyful, simple outlook to life". Dr. Abdurrahman has lived with her husband and 3 sons in the Miami Valley for the last 20 years.

    The Dr. was amazingly caring and had clearly read the medical notes prior to visit even taking the time to mention a personal interest my son has. She was lovely.

    We love Dr Abdurrahman. She is the best ever. Explained in easy to understand ways and let my child speak and conversed with her and us at length. Everyone there from the ekg tech ultrasound tech to the nurse were excellent. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

    Amy was the ultrasound tech and she was wonderful. She was very thoughtful and great with communication. The cardiologist was also wonderful. She gave me so much reassurance and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable

    We were so impressed with her bedside manner. My daughter has seen a lot of doctors lately and is starting to be scared around them and by the end of the appointment she was blowing her kisses. She was so kind and caring. 10/10

    She was very kind and thorough and made sure that I felt comfortable with the entire process, explained everything in detail, and made sure to follow up as quickly as possible. She was absolutely great. One of the best doctors I've ever dealt with.
