Krista Gelford, MD

Dr. Krista Gelford is a pediatrician at Dayton Children's Hospital. She cares for babies, children and teens through every stage of growth and development. She treats a wide range of childhood illnesses and everyday health concerns, from well-child visits to sick visits. Families appreciate Dr. Gelford’s thorough, informative and compassionate approach, helping them better understand their child’s health and feel confident in their care decisions. 

Dr. Gelford chose pediatrics because of her desire to help every child achieve their best possible health. She believes in partnering with families, listening closely to their concerns and providing care that supports the whole child. Known for her warm and approachable style, Dr. Gelford helps children feel comfortable during visits. In fact, she says that her small stature can make her seem a little less intimidating to young patients, helping build trust and connection from the start.
