Dr. Kara Pappas is a pediatric clinical and biochemical geneticist and is part of the medical genetics team at Dayton Children’s, evaluating children for genetic and inherited conditions. They provide families with clear answers, guidance and compassionate support. Dr. Pappas completed her medical school education at Wayne State University in Michigan. Following college, she spent her pediatric residency at LAC-USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She completed her fellowship in medical biochemical genetics at Detroit Medical Center in Michigan. Dr. Pappas enjoys caring for kids with rare diseases. She provides support to the kids and their families while optimizing their health and quality of life. Outside of work, Dr. Pappas spends time with her two children. She also loves to travel and read.
