Professional Statement
Dr. J. Michael Klatte is a pediatric infectious disease specialist who helps care for babies, children, and teens with common and uncommon infections. From infancy through late adolescence, he focuses on preventing illness, finding the cause of infection, and choosing treatments that are safe and effective. Dr. Klatte takes time to explain what’s going on and what to expect, so families feel informed and reassured every step of the way.
Dr. Klatte is especially passionate about antibiotic stewardship - using the right medicine, for the right infection, for the right amount of time. He believes this approach protects children today while keeping antibiotics effective for the future. Dr. Klatte values partnership with families and often reminds parents: you know your child best, and your concerns matter. Outside of work, he enjoys long‑distance running on the scenic recreational trails around the Dayton area.
