Dhritiman Gurkha, MD

Dr. Dhritiman Gurkha is a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Dayton Children's Hospital. He cares for children when they are seriously ill or injured and need immediate medical attention. Dr. Gurkha specializes in the initial treatment of critically ill patients, helping families navigate urgent situations with skill, focus and compassion. Dr. Gurkha commonly cares for children experiencing conditions such as anaphylaxis, shock, dehydration, seizures and asthma flare-ups, ensuring they receive timely care when every moment matters. 

Dr. Gurkha believes families deserve clear communication and reassurance during some of their most stressful moments. He partners closely with caregivers, explaining what is happening and what comes next so they feel informed and supported. Outside of work, Dr. Gurkha enjoys cricket, learning about cars and exploring great food.
