Professional Statement
David Morris, MD is a pediatric allergist and immunologist, and division chief of allergy and immunology at Dayton Children's Hospital. Dr. Morris was born and raised in the Dayton area. He completed his medical school education at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. Following college, he spent his internship and residency in pediatrics at Dayton Children's Hospital. He completed his fellowship in allergy and immunology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Morris is board certified in both pediatrics and allergy and immunology. He has participated in multiple peer-reviewed articles and serves as an assistant professor in pediatrics at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. Dr. Morris was awarded an American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Fellow-In-Training Grant in Characterization of Eosinophil Progenitors in the Peripheral Blood of Pediatric Patients with Active Eosinophilic Esophagitis (2014). When asked why he chose to specialize in pediatric allergy and immunology, he said that it is because of the ever changing knowledge within the field that makes each day exciting. One of his favorite things about working with children is their spirit and resiliency in the face of adversity. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Morris enjoys activities with his children.

We could have done testing as I was prepared to do, which was told to me by the pre-care team and the notices explaining that my son needed to be off of certain medications before his appointment date. I feel they are taking advantage of my insurance and forced me to have a second appointment when it was not needed for the allergy testing. So I will have to pay another co-pay, and my insurance will also have to pay another fee, because they decided they didn’t feel like doing it same day this time

Dr. Morris did an excellent job at explaining the allergies and how they would be assessed and treated in a way our six year old daughter could understand. He appreciated her desire to continue riding horses and offered her strategies to mitigate these allergies. We appreciated Dr. Morris’ professionalism, thorough work up and timely access to getting an appointment. Thank you!

Dr. Morris is attentive to his patients and their families. He listens to our concerns of parents and we feel heard. I feel like he is proactive in his treatment and we are very satisfied with the service that we have received from him. Dr. Morris is more than wonderful and has been so patient and kind. And my son and I just really appreciate his understanding of what's going on and understanding of my son and the problems he has had in the past few years. And we just can't say enough good words about Dr. Morris. He's so nice and so kind and easy to talk to. We appreciate everything he has done.

Have never had a bad experience from any of the staff or doctor in the 5 years we have been seeing Dr. Morris. Him, the nurses, and office staff are always friendly and greet you with a smile. Dr. Morris knows how to talk and interact with my son and listen to and addressed any concerns or questions I may have.
