About Carly Schweier

Professional Statement

Dr. Schweier is a pediatric psychologist at Michael's House, an advocacy center in Greene County for children and adolescents that have experienced abuse. She has training in trauma-based therapy interventions and has worked with patients with a variety of presenting mental health concerns through her graduate and post-doctoral training. Dr. Schweier completed her graduate studies at Wright State University's School of Professional Psychology where she also obtained her Doctorate of Psychology. She completed an internship at Seven Counties Services and Jefferson County Consortium. Dr. Schweier completed her residency in Louisville, Kentucky in child and adolescent psychology and a fellowship at Child Focus, Inc.  When asked why she chose to specialize in child and adolescent psychology she responded, "I want to be a support to children who have experienced significant trauma and may not feel understood."
