About Anne McHugh

Anne McHugh, MD is a pediatric rheumatologist at Dayton Children's Hospital. Dr. McHugh was born and raised in Englewood, Ohio. She completed her medical school education at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following medical school, she spent her pediatric residency at Riley Children's in Indianapolis, Indiana. She completed her fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto, California. Dr. McHugh is board certified in pediatric rheumatology and pediatrics. When asked why she chose to specialize in pediatric rheumatology she said it's because every day consists of taking care of children and new complex diseases that allow her to form long term relationships with families. One of her favorite things about working with children is their resiliency. Outside of the hospital Dr. McHugh enjoys cooking, biking and traveling.

    The provider did a very thorough assessment, came to our room in a very timely manner after the PCA brought us to our room, listened to our concerns very attentively, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. And she gave us additional information so that we could follow up if we had any concerns that we saw at home. She provided information with a packet that I could present to the school. And she was very helpful. I was able to get into my appointment very quickly. So all of that was much appreciated.

    Dr. Ann was patient and thorough. She allowed my non understanding questions, even though time was probably up. She was open to my own thoughts on the situation. I do really hate how everything in the medical field is compartamentalized though.

    We absolutely love Dr. McHuge! She listens and is very knowledgeable in her profession. Can’t recommend her enough!
