Andrew Khavari, MD

Dr. Andrew Khavari is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who helps children and teens during a mental health crisis. He specializes in psychiatric crisis stabilization and acute stabilization, helping children and teens who are experiencing a mental health crisis and who may need a higher level of care. His focus is on providing short-term, intensive support to help kids feel safer and calmer during difficult moments. Dr. Khavari has a special interest in early-onset psychosis (when thoughts feel confusing) and bipolar disorder.

Dr. Khavari partners closely with families, listening first and explaining options in clear, reassuring language. He believes early help can change a child’s future, so care plans support the whole child—mind, body, school and home life. Working with the care team and community resources, Dr. Khavari helps families make a plan and connects them to ongoing care so kids can get back to being kids.
